A Japanese beef cattle breed – derive from native Asian cattle. 'WAGYU' refers to all Japanese beef cattle, where 'Wa' means Japanese and 'gyu' means cow. Wagyu were originally draft animals used in agriculture, and were selected for their physical endurance. This selection favored animals with more intra-muscular fat cells – ‘marbling’ – which provided a readily available energy source. Wagyu is a horned breed and the cattle are either black or red in color. (American Wagyu Association) We have cows from both breeds. Our Bull is the son of the famous ‘Big Al’ who was the first Red Wagyu to be born in the US and has parentage still in Japan.

We also offer pure Angus beef from cows who are pasture raised, hormone free and locally grown. This is very good beef with that old American flavor that we’ve all grown to love.

We raise Pigs the old fashioned way. In a pasture they share with our chickens! All are free to roam and scratch and play. It is amazing to see how clean pigs keep themselves when they are allowed to stay out of the mud. Of course there's always a mud pit for them to cool off but they love to roll and play in the pasture and green grass. the pork we sell is naturally grown and locally raised hormone free and delicious!
